If you haven’t watched How I Met Your Mother, it’s actually one of my favorite shows. Every few episodes there is at least one Star Wars reference or joke embedded in there.
“Lily doesn’t chew loudly” - Marshall
“Dude, come on. This isn’t news. Why do you think I call her Chewbacca?” - Ted
“I assumed because she’s loyal, wears shiny belts, and I resemble a young Harrison Ford.” - Marshall
“Think of me as Yoda. Only, instead of being little and green, I wear suits and I’m awesome. I’m your bro. I’m Broda. And tonight, you’re going to use the force to get the hottest chicks into bed.” - Barney
“And if that doesn’t scare them away, there’s always your life sized storm trooper” - Lily

These are only a couple.
It’s one of those things where if you don’t see the series, you really don’t understand a lot of the pop culture references.
I recently discovered my younger brother has never seen Star Wars. At some point this Winter Break, I will be forcing him to watch all of them (Starting with episode IV and moving on).
Marshall: She’s never seen Star Wars?! Ted, the only people in the universe who haven’t seen Star Wars are the characters in Star Wars! And that cause they lived ‘em, Ted, that’s cause they lived the Star Wars!
